... LET'S MEET AROME THE NEW SENSATIONAL FACE OF GOSPEL MUSIC IN AFRICA.

“ AROME real name Arome Adaji was born to Elder and Mrs. Y. Adaji, both active members of the local choir (Zumunta Mata) in Zaria, Nigeria. At a very young age he was taught how to play the drums and piano which launched him into the world of Music at a tender age.

At 10yrs he was already single-handedly singing at the school Assembly and playing in the school band, when he was 15years, he was already in the choir of the church (Gospel Ministries Int’l Zaria). Arome’s encounter with the fusion of gospel contemporary African Hip-Hop started with him listening to the works of Fred Harmmon,Kirk Franklin,Bebe and Dr Panam Percy Paul in 1994.Meanwhile in 1996 he started a degree course in Theater Arts, at the University  of Abuja and later moved to Ahmadu Bello University to study English Drama then MA. Communications. He performed at all major concerts with his contemporary group then called the ‘The Epistles’ in which he was the pioneer, founder of the group that  won several awards, as the best contemporary group on campus.1999-2000.

Arome after graduation found himself in Lagos where he became a music director and worked with several groups and churches, In Lagos he joined a group where he played several vocal roles (Faze2Faze, VMT) and then later decided to pick up a Banking job and did excellently well. Arome is an Artiste, Actor and a Writer; he’s written five books and published one (Issues of the Heart).A proficient lyricist, Actor, songwriter, Instrumentalist and a writer.

Arome is known to be a good arranger of Harmonies; He is the Initiator of ’The Widow’s Mite’. ‘The Child Fiesta’ the unification of different orphanages in Abuja, during the Christmas period as several Artistes gets to entertain and put smiles on the faces of orphans. A conk lover of orphans and widows. His style of music cut across every ethnic group in Nigeria, because of his versatile style of communicating through music.

Arome has worked with several producers in the likes of Ty.mix, Niyi.p, Gospel, and Vc.Perez currently making arrangements to work with Jesse Jagz, J.Matins, and Cobhambs.with other Artistes like Timi Dakolo,Jadel,MI,Roof-Top MC,Treadstone and Buchi  to express his Arts.
