At last the highly anticipated re-emergence
single “Touch It” from former wave
making campus artiste – A.G Mankind
is out and ready for your listening pleasure.
A.G Mankind
(Real Name Wale Makinde) was bitten
by the music bug at a tender age like most great artiste; but unlike most of
them he didn’t join the church choir, instead he made menace by raising
relatives’ tempers by recording songs of his mentors on their cassette tapes
for his listening pleasure – an act that got him spanked several times but that
didn’t quench his interest and love for music. When he started miming raps in
secondary school, it didn’t come as a surprise to lots of people, and that
followed him till he got admitted to Olabisi Onabanjo University to study
Agricultural Economics; and barely a show was done on his campus without him
performing to the delight of both fellow students and staff alike, and that
made him won several awards for creativity.
Touch It
according to Mankind “is a way of appreciating the females,
especially those well-endowed in certain areas”. The song also shows
his dexterity not only as a rap artiste, but also a singer as it was his voice
on the hook of the song as well. Though he’s more of a rap artiste to a singer,
he’s not restricted to a genre or rap pattern.
Touch It was
produced by Don Pauleon (the Omoge Wa Gba Petrol crooner), and
mixed by fast rising sound engineer – X
Factor.
